A fan of mountain running and rock climbing, during the expedition she will be responsible for recruitment to the research group and for post-exercise recovery.

A specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care. He was educated and gained experience in Brussels and New York. He works in Intensive Care and Anaesthesiology Unit in Gryfice.

Focuses on outdoor, mountain and cave photography. Enjoys mountain running and takes photos of runners. She will be the expedition’s reporter.

Medical Director of the pioneering MedExpedition project, co-leader of two scientific expeditions in the Chilean Andes. Scuba diver and underwater photographer, set world record in high altitude diving.

A lover of the Tatra mountains, fond of rock climbing and bicycle tours, camping in the wilderness, travel and adventure. During the expedition she will be responsible for social media and communication with the media.

Employed in the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, an expert in the area of the multiomic methods. A mountain climber and a member of the Warsaw Mountaineering Club’s management board. During the ACX expedition he will be responsible for the molecular part of the research and integration of the data collected.

What is so unique about our project?

Up to now, nobody has made a research into different models of acclimatization is such an advanced manner. We will be the first.

In February and March of 2019 the Active Acclimatization Expedition (ACX) will take place. It will test the maximum capacity of human being in the mountains.

The expedition team consists of:

8 scientists
30 persons in the research group
2 members of the Polish National Winter Expedition to K2
2 instructors for the National Winter K2 Team
